2023 Advanced General Waste Management Information System Integration Projec

Absrtact
To enhance the general waste management capability, the 2023 project for the enhancement of the Integrated General Waste Management Information System continues to promote the management of general waste declarations. The outcomes of the current year are as follows: 1. To ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems, clarification was made regarding discrepancies in declaration data. In alignment with waste disposal policies and in anticipation of future diverse disposal methods, public service report items were revised to improve the proper handling of general waste. 2. In order to enhance general waste management, the differential rate for incineration plants was reduced from 5.0% to 2.5%. Supervision was provided to the executing authorities for reporting incineration volumes, making reconciled input quantities closer to the current waste disposal situation. Ongoing guidance to county and city executing authorities in reporting was conducted to enhance the rationality of declarations. 3. To align with business units in understanding the general waste disposal situation of executing authorities, regular report building of execution outcomes was established. This not only improves the administrative efficiency of business units but also includes new functions such as reporting status of counties and cities, reminders for tasks to be done and pending tasks, aiming to reduce contact time for telephone inquiries. 4. Regular maintenance of system information security was conducted, and in accordance with various electronic operation regulations, guidance was provided to local executing authorities to solve user problems and ensure timely reporting to maintain data quality. Additionally, the new hosting of the system was completed, ensuring smooth system operation. 5. Improvement in the management of food waste reuse involved urging operators to implement high-temperature cooking. A suggested list of high-risk operators was screened for reference in environmental protection bureau inspections to prevent the outbreak of African swine fever. 6. Hold one seminar and three educational training sessions for general waste management to facilitate communication between central and local units, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of general waste management.
